Packaging

Packaging covers everything from printed retail cartons and rigid boxes to flexible pouches, protective packaging and labels. It is often ordered alongside a product run, which makes specification accuracy and print proofing especially important.

What we source

  • Printed retail cartons and rigid boxes
  • Corrugated shipping cartons and protective inserts
  • Flexible packaging: pouches, bags and film
  • Labels, hang tags and printed inserts

What typically goes wrong

  • Colours on a printed proof do not match the final production run
  • Carton strength is under-specified for the shipping method and fails in transit
  • Dieline dimensions do not match the actual product, causing a poor fit
  • Minimum order quantities are set by the print run, not the box design, and catch buyers off guard

What we need to quote

  • Dieline or product dimensions the packaging needs to fit
  • Print requirements: number of colours, finish and any special printing
  • Material and strength requirements, including for shipping cartons
  • Target quantity and whether this is a one-off or repeat order

Typical lead times

Stock packaging is generally quicker to produce, while custom printed packaging with tooling or plate setup typically takes several weeks longer, most commonly in the range of 4 to 8 weeks before freight.

Standards and labelling

Food-contact packaging must meet relevant Australian food contact material requirements, and packaging for regulated products may need specific labelling. We confirm applicable requirements against your product before production starts.
