Supplier Code of Conduct
This code sets out what Open Dock requires of any manufacturer or supplier we engage or recommend to a client. It is written directly to you, the supplier, and forms part of our contract with you.
This policy sets out how we operate. It does not replace the terms of a signed services agreement, which prevail where they differ.

1. Scope
This code applies to you and to any subcontractor or production site you use to fulfil an Open Dock order. You are responsible for your subcontractors' compliance with this code as if it were your own.
2. Lawful and voluntary employment
You must not use forced, bonded, indentured or involuntary labour of any kind, and must not use child labour. Workers must be free to leave employment on reasonable notice and must not have identity documents or wages withheld to restrict their movement.
3. Wages, hours and freedom of association
You must pay at least the applicable legal minimum wage and any required overtime premium, keep working hours within legal limits, and provide legally required rest days and leave. Workers must be free to associate and raise concerns without retaliation, consistent with the law that applies to your operations.
4. Workplace health and safety
You must operate a safe workplace: functioning fire exits and firefighting equipment, safe machinery and guarding, appropriate personal protective equipment, and safe handling and storage of hazardous materials. You must report serious incidents affecting an Open Dock order to us promptly.
5. Environmental compliance
You must hold and comply with the environmental permits and approvals required for your operations, and handle waste, emissions and chemicals in accordance with applicable law.
6. Anti-bribery and facilitation payments
You must not offer, pay or accept a bribe, kickback or facilitation payment in connection with an Open Dock order, whether to our staff, our clients, inspectors, customs officials or anyone else. Report any solicitation of such a payment to us immediately.
7. Subcontracting and disclosure of production sites
You must disclose to us every production site involved in an Open Dock order before production begins, including any subcontractor. You must not move production to an undisclosed site or subcontractor without our prior written agreement.
8. Product safety and materials compliance
Goods and materials must meet the specification and any applicable Australian standard identified for the order, and must not contain a substance prohibited or restricted for that product category under Australian law. You must provide test reports or material declarations when we request them.
9. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Client designs, specifications and brand assets shared with you are confidential. You must not use them for any purpose beyond the order, reproduce them for another customer, or sell overrun or rejected units bearing a client's brand without written authorisation.
10. Right to inspect and to end the relationship
We, or an inspector acting for us, may inspect your facility and production records relevant to an order on reasonable notice. A breach of this code is a material breach of our agreement with you, and we may cancel the order, withhold payment for non-conforming work, and end the relationship.
11. Reporting a concern
Anyone, including your own workers, can raise a concern about a breach of this code by emailing info@opendock.com.au.
