Our commitments

Supplier Code of Conduct

We buy on behalf of our clients, which means we choose the factories and we carry responsibility for the conditions inside them.

Assessed before an order is placed

Before we place an order, each supplier is assessed on wages, working hours, age verification and workplace safety. If a factory will not open those records to us, we do not place the order there.

  • Wage records and payment frequency reviewed
  • Working hours and overtime patterns checked
  • Age verification confirmed at the point of hire
  • Workplace safety, exits, guarding and protective equipment observed on site

We pay suppliers on agreed terms

Delayed payment is usually where pressure on workers starts. We pay suppliers on the terms we agreed rather than stretching them to improve our own position.

Clients see who actually makes the product

Clients get visibility of the manufacturing site, including any subcontracting, so the supply chain is not a black box. If production moves, the client is told.

Raising a concern

Any worker, client or supplier can raise a concern with us directly by email to info@opendock.com.au. We acknowledge it, look into it with the factory, and tell the person who raised it what we found and what changed.

Questions about this

If you want the detail behind any of these standards, or you want to raise a concern, get in touch and a person will answer.
