Supplier verification confirms a factory is a real, registered business with the equipment and capacity to make what it claims, before any money changes hands. It is the single step most likely to prevent a failed order, and it is one we complete before any deposit is paid.
What verification actually checks
- Business registration and legal standing
- Export history and typical customer base
- Production equipment and floor capacity against your order volume
- Whether the factory subcontracts work it presents as its own
Why this matters more than price
The cheapest quote is often cheapest because the supplier cannot actually deliver at that price and volume, or because it will subcontract to a lower-quality workshop without telling you. Verifying capability first means the quotes you compare are realistic.
How we verify a supplier
We check registration records, request evidence of relevant certifications, review sample work and, where the order justifies it, arrange a factory visit or third-party audit. Suppliers who cannot evidence what they claim do not proceed to quoting.
Red flags we look for
- Reluctance to share business registration details
- Photos of equipment that do not match the stated capacity
- Pricing significantly below every other quote with no clear reason
- Refusal to allow any third-party inspection
When to verify a supplier you already use
If you already have a supplier relationship but no visibility into their production setup, it is worth having it verified independently before your next large order, particularly after any change in ownership, price or lead time on their end.
