Sourcing Partner (China and worldwide)

Work with an Australian overseas supply chain business as our on the ground sourcing partner. We manage the client and the project brief from Australia. You find and qualify factories, gather quotes, run factory communication, chase samples, and follow production and quality through to dispatch. We want ongoing partners for repeat work, not a one off order.

What you will do
- Find and qualify factories against a written brief, then shortlist the ones worth quoting.
- Collect and compare quotations, including tooling, minimum order quantities and lead times.
- Run day to day factory communication and keep a written record of what was agreed.
- Chase samples, photos and updates, and flag problems early rather than at dispatch.
- Follow production and quality through to dispatch, including inspection support.
What we need from you
- Based in or close to the manufacturing region you cover.
- Working English in writing, and the local language with factories.
- Existing factory relationships or a proven method for finding and vetting new ones.
- Comfortable working to Australian hours for regular check ins.
- Own business or ability to invoice as a contractor.
Nice to have
- Experience in furniture, interiors, building materials or packaging.
- Quality control or inspection background.
- Experience preparing export documentation.
